BLC doubles up Excelsiors to take Game 1

Austin Shanks scored four goals and one assist, while Brady Kearnan added a hat trick and a helper to lead Brooklin Lacrosse Club to a 10-5 win over the Brampton Excelsiors in Game 1 of their best-of-five MSL quarter-final.

Brady Kearnan scored a pair of goals, including the opener. Curtis Knight, and Shanks added one goal each. James Whiteford and Josh Medeiros responded for the Excelsiors.

BLC went to work in the second period, with Shanks scoring a pair, while Zach Belter and Brady Kearnan netting one each.

The Excelsiors tried to push back in the third period thanks to Adam Widemann's three goals. But Jackson Raposo and Shanks responded for BLC.

Zack Higgins made 50 saves to preserve the win, while Will Johnston made 37 stops.
