Balanced attack leads Chiefs over Lakers

Lyle Thompson had a seven-assist night, Randy Staats pitched in with one goal and five assists, while Shayne Jackson was the trigger man scoring a hat trick and onae assist to lead the Six Nations Chiefs to a 12-7 win over the Peterborough Lakers Tuesday night during Major Series Lacrosse action at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.
The first period was a back-and-forth battle between the two MSL giants. Kevin Hill, Larson Sundown, Jackson, and Eric Fannell scored for the Chiefs. Josh Currier, Colton Armstrong, and Eli McLaughlin responded for the Lakers.
Cody Jamieson, Dave Brock, and Tyson Bell scored for the Chiefs, with Holden Cattoni, Cam Milligan, and Taite Cattoni replying for the Lakers.
The Chiefs took control of the game in the third period. Jackson led the way with a pair of goals, while Bryan Cole, Dalton Sulver, and Staats added single.
McLaughlin added his second goal of the game late in the frame.
