Big second period gives BLC the victory over Kodiaks

Brock Haley had himself a day, scoring a hat trick and leading the Brooklin Lacrosse Club to a 14-4 win over the Cobourg Kodiaks in Major Series Lacrosse action Sunday night.

The game began with Cobourg Kodiaks taking an early lead. Stone Jacobs netted the first goal at 17:32, followed by one from Tyler Hendryks. However, BLC quickly responded, igniting their scoring spree. Brock Haley scored four minutes apart, while Connor Kearnan and Brady Kearnan scored to pull the visitors to a 4-2 lead after one.

BLC continued their dominance in the second period. Sean Westley netted what became the game-winning goal 30 seconds in. Westley struck again with a power-play goal. Luke Keenan then scored another power-play goal. Liam Osborne added to the lead before Connor Kearnan scored his second of the night midway through the frame. Brady Kearnan found the net once more shorthanded, while  Haley continued the scoring. Jacobs had the lone Kodiaks response.

In the final period,  Haley secured his hat trick before Braedon Saris replied for the Kodiaks. Luke Keenan and Tanner Cook rounded out the scoring.
