Buchan and Hanrahan make an impression for Lakers

Doug Buchan and Cole Hanrahan made their presence felt in their season debuts for the Peterborough Lakers Thursday night in a 9-2 win over the Cobourg Kodiaks.
Buchan made 42 saves and only allowed two goals, while Hanrahan scored three times and added one assist to lead the offence.
In the first period, Hanrahan scored twice, while Taite Cattoni, Carter Paige and Austin Hasen added one each.
Cam Milligan stopped the bleeding for the Kodiaks with a goal one minute into the second period. Unfortunately for them, the Lakers responded with goals from Holden Cattoni, Cory Viterelli, Hanrahan and Page.
The Kodiak’s Alex Simmons scored the lone goal of the period.
While Buchan made 42 stops for the win, Steve Orleman made 50 saves in the defeat.

NOTES: The Lakers improve to 4-2 on the season and travel to Whitby on July 13 to take on the Brooklin Lacrosse Club at 8pm. The Kodiaks drop to 1-5 on the season.
