Cattoni leads charge as Lakers sweep BLC

Holden Cattoni scored four times including hte overtime winner to lead the Peterborough Lakers to a 12-11 victory over the Brooklin Lacrosse Club Tuesday night.

The win gives the Lakers a 4-0 sweep of the best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse semifinal series.

After Cattoni scored the game's opening goal, it was all BLC in the second period. Jake Stevens, Tanner Cook, Jacob Saunders, and Lucas Littlejohn gave BLC the lead they were hoping for.

Cook added to the lead during the first minute of the second period. Despite that, the Lakers pushed back in a big way. Matt Gilray and Colton Armstrong got the Lakers going, before a Kyle Waters response. Cattoni then added two more goals, as did Eli McLaughlin. Thomas Hoggarth, and Taite Cattoni added one each. Kyle Waters responded two times for BLC, while Cook added another.

Cook scored his fourth of the game, before McLaughlin struck for the Lakers. Liam Osborne tied things up for BLC , before Josh Currier gave the Lakers another lead. With less than five minutes to go in regulation, Stevens tied things up, setting up Cattoni's heroics.

The Lakers now wait for the winner of the Six Nations chiefs and Cobourg Kodiaks series.
