Cattoni shines with five goals to lead Lakers

It may have been the night that Shawn Evans made history, but the Holden Cattoni show continued during Game 5 of the Mann Cup final.
Cattoni scored five times and added one assist to lead the Lakers to a 10-5 win over the Langley Thunder Wednesday.
The Lakers with its third-straight win now lead the best-of-seven Canadian senior A lacrosse championship 3-2.
Cattoni and Joe Resetarits struck two times each in the first period. On Resetarits first of the night, Evans had the assist that gave him 204 points to leap by John Tavares for the all-time Mann Cup points lead.
Curtis Dickson and Dane Dobbie replied for the Thunder.
Cattoni struck two more times in the second period, while Mitch Ogilvie and Mark Matthews added singles.
Dobbie and Tyler Sceviour scored for the Thunder.
Dobbie added his third of the night to open the third period, before Chad Tutton and Cattoni put the game out of reach.

NOTES:  Evans ended up with four assists on the night. Matt Vinc got the win in the Lakers pipes making 35 saves. He was named the Lakers’ Player of the Game. Frank Scigliano stopped 42 shots and was the POTG for the Thunder. Game 6 of the Mann Cup final is Friday at 8pm. You can watch it live or on archive at the MSL YouTube page.
