CHIEFS DEFEAT REDMEN SECOND TIME IN A ROW

Six Nations Chiefs defeated the Brooklin Redmen 8-5 in a Tuesday evening game played in Six Nations.  Cody Jamieson led all players with a 5 point game, scoring 3 goals while adding 2 assists.

Brooklin took an early 2-0 lead before the seven minute mark of the first period - this was the only time during the game, the Redmen led.  However, the Chiefs responded with four straight goals to end the first period leading 4-2.

The Redmen won the second period 2-1, but still trailed 5-4 at the end of the second frame.

Brooklin did tie the game 5-5 early in the third period.  However, Six Nations responded with three straight goals over a seven minute span ending the game's scoring and preserving an 8-5 victory.

The Redmen went 0-4 on the power play which could have made a difference.  The Chiefs were 50% going 1-2 playing with a man up.

Six Nations goaltender Warren Hill recorded the win, while Zach Higgins took the loss for Brooklin.  The Chiefs outshot the Redmen 54-49.

At this point in the season, Six Nations have a .500 record with four wins and four losses, good enough for third place. Brooklin has a record of 3 wins and four losses, which is currently sufficient for the fourth and final playoff spot.
