Cobourg and Brampton juggle rosters with trade

The Cobourg Nissan Kodiaks have acquired Brandon Robinson and a second round pick in the 2019 MSL draft from The Brampton Excelsiors for Joel Coyle. Cobourg Nissan Kodiaks General Manager John Webb noted, "At 6'3" and 210 lbs., Brandon Robinson is a big left handed shot from Pickering who is very mobile. He will be counted on to create space for offensive players such as Chris Cloutier and Dan Lomas. We are excited to acquire Brandon and a draft pick." In his rookie MSL season with Brampton, Robinson accumulated 20 points including 7 goals in 12 games. Robinson is a two sport athlete having spent 5 years playing in the Ontario Hockey League spent between North Bay/Brampton Battalion and Kitchener Rangers. He is currently entering his third year attending Wilfred Laurier University. Robinson is excited to join the Kodiaks. "I'm really excited to get into training camp and show the coaches that I want to play and contribute. Our team looks like it's going to be a force at both ends of the floor!"

Joel Coyle is a lefty who stand 5'11" and weighs 175 lbs.  He is a graduate of the Orangeville Junior "A" organization.  He did not play in the Major Series Lacrosse league in 2017, but did make the NLL All-Rookie team in 2017.
