Cody Jamieson scores four to pace Chiefs past Lakers

Cody Jamieson made his presence felt at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Thursday.
The Six Nations Chiefs captain led the way scoring four goals and two assists to lead his team to a 9-5 win over the Peterborough Lakers.
Jamieson scored twice in the first period to pace the Chiefs, with Sam Leclair and Charlie Scanlan adding one goal each. Holden Cattoni netted a pair and Shawn Evans scored one for the Lakers.
The Chiefs pulled away in the second period thanks to JAmieson, Joey Cupido and Nonkon Thompson.
In the third period, Jamieson and Vaughn Harris added to the lead, while Cattoni netted two more for the Lakers.
Doug Jamieson made 48 stops for his second-straight win, while Mike Poulin had a 42-save effort for the Lakers.

NOTES: With the win, the Chiefs are alone in first place with a 4-1-1 record. They return to action July 10, when they visit the Cobourg Kodiaks at 6pm. The Lakers are now in second place with a 3-2 record. They host the Kodiaks on July 7 at 8pm.
