Conner Kearnan completes hat trick with OT winner for BLC

Conner Kearnan took full advantage of his first Major Series Lacrosse game of the season.
The Brooklin Lacrosse Club star scored three goals and two assists, including the overtime winner to give his team a 7-6 win over the Brampton Excelsiors Wednesday.
After a lot of back and forth action, Carson Kealey finally got Brooklin on the board converting a Luke Pilcher pass at 8:54, followed by Liam Osbourne finishing off a Parker Pipher feed at 9:21.
The Excelsiors got on the board when Robert Hudson grabbed an errant Brooklin pass going coast to coast for the unassisted goal at 10:59, followed by a shorthanded goal by Josh Medeiros off a Curtis Goddard feed at 12:33 to tie the game.
BLC regained the lead on the power-play when Kearnan scored from in close off a Luke Pilcher pass at 18:50, but was answered immediately by the Excelsiors when Curtis Goddard finished a Carter Zavitz feed 0:21 seconds later.
The Excelsiors controlled most of second period, coming away with the only scores. Tyler Ferreira converted a James Whiteford pass at 6:41, followed by Carter Zavitz finishing off a Henry Follows feed 0:26 seconds later. Henry Follows then increased the lead to three by converting a Keaton Thomson pass at 15:54.
BLC was equally as dominant in the third period. Connor Kearnan opened the third period scoring on the power-play converting a Brady Kearnan to cut the Excelsiors lead to two goals at 1:07. Brady Kearnan scored on the power-play converting a Connor Kearnan pass at 17:10, followed by Zac Carrigan scoring with the goalie on the bench tontie the game at 19:14.
In overtime, Connor Kearnan scored his third of the night off a Parker Pipher feed at 3:49 to win the game for BLC.
