Excelsiors Hold on for First Victory of 2019 season
The Brampton Excelsiors came out the gate flying outshooting Six Nations 22-7 building up a 5-1 lead by the end of the first period. The Excelsiors continued their strong play in the second period compiling a 9-2 lead.
The Chiefs rallied in the third period outscoring Brampton 6-0 to get within a single goal of tying the game with just 48 seconds left in the third period. Brampton held on to record their first win of the 2019 season.
Jordan Dance led the Excelsiors with a hat-trick. Jeff Teat had a 4 point night including 3 assists and Clarke Petterson had four helpers. Goaltender Nolan Clayton recorded the win for Brampton. Six Nations were led by Lyle Thompson and Cody Jamieson who each had 2 goals and 2 assists. Randy Staats had a 3 goal game.
