The past week saw the Six Nations Chiefs move into first place with two wins. Just 2 points behind are the Peterborough Lakers who have two games in hand.  Of great interest for MSL fans is the Chiefs and Lakers play back-to-back games against each other this week.  These two games may well determine 1st and 2nd place overall and playoff home advantage. Peterborough has a third game during the week visiting Cobourg on Sunday.

Of equal interest is the battle for 3rd and 4th place.  Brampton Excelsiors currently hold a two-point lead over Oakville. However, Oakville has two games in hand.  The Rock host Brooklin on Monday.  In what could be the decisive game for third place, Oakville visits Brampton on Sunday.

Cobourg hopes to catch fourth place, but will require assistance from other teams.  The Kodiaks play in Brooklin on Wednesday and host Peterborough on Sunday. After a 5-1 start to their season, Cobourg has struggled winning only one of their past nine games.  Obviously, there have been some tough defeats along the way.

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club has the role of being spoilers.  With games this week against Oakville, Cobourg and Brampton, Brooklin will have an impact on the final standings.
