Grenon an instant impact for Kodiaks over Rock

The day after being acquired by the Cobourg Kodiaks, Nathan Grenon had an instant impact, scoring three goals and three assists to lead his new team to a 12-8 win over his old team - the Oakville Rock Sunday.

The Kodiaks and Rock exchanged goals in the first period. David Anderson and Jackson Nishimura scored twice each for the Kodiaks, while Cory Highfield, Marley Angus, and the newly acquired Tyler Hendryks (same trade) replied for the Rock.

The two teams did the same in the second period, with Braedon Saris, Grenon, and Anderson scoring for the Kodiaks to give the home crowd lots to cheer about. Hendryks struck again for the Rock, while Andrew Kew and Ty English added one each.

In the third period, the Kodiaks poured on the pressure, thanks in part to Grenon, who had a pair of goals to open the frame. Zach Thompson, Saris, and Anderson also added to the lead.

Ryan Lanchburyscored a pair for the Rock.
