Hasen scores in OT to give Lakers a 3-0 series lead

Austin Hasen scored his second goal of the game with less than three minutes to go in overtime to give the Peterborough Lakers a 12-11 win over Brooklin Lacrosse Club at Iroquois Park Sports Centre Saturday.
The Lakers now hold a 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven MSL semifinal series.
Owen Hiltz scored three goals in the first period to lead the Lakers, while Turner Evans and Thomas Hoggarth added one each.
The two teams exchanged goals in the second period. Austin Shanks and Connor Kearnan scored for BLC, while Evans and Hiltz replied for the Lakers.
Evans, Luke Keenan, Rob Hellyer and Mike Byrne exchanged goals to open the third period before Hoggarth and Hasen increased the lead for the Lakers. Then BLC went on a four-goal run to force the extra frame. Cook scored a pair of goals while Kearnan, and Sean Westley added one each during the run.
