Kearnan and Williams score four each to lead BLC over Lakers

The Brooklin Lacrosse Club took the first game of what could potentially be nine games in a row between the two Major Series Lacrosse rivals.
Connor Kearnan led the charge scoring four goals and three assists, while Dyson Williams also notched four goals and added one helper to the cause as BLC beat the Peterborough Lakers 13-10 at home Wednesday.
Despite Kearnan scoring twice and Williams adding one, the Lakers owned the first period. Kiel Matisz led the way with two goals, while Matt Gilray, , Carson Moyer, Shawn Evans and Holden Cattoni all added one each giving the Lakers a lead.
But in the second period, it was all BLC, who put up a six spot of their own. Williams scored three times, with Kearnan ,Ryan Barnable, and Luke Pilcher all adding one. Taste Cattoni and Keaton Zavitz responded for the Lakers.
During a chippy third period, Pilcher, Austin Murphy, Ryan Lanchbury and Kearnan scored for BLC. Moyer and Matisz scored for the Lakers.

NOTES: Riley Hutchcraft earned the win between the BLC pipe with a 35-save effort. Mike Poulin took the loss making 27 saves. BLC now has a one point lead over the Lakers for second place and home floor advantage. The same two teams are back in action Thursday in Peterborough at 8pm to conclude the MSL regular season.
