The Peterborough Lakers are heading back to the Major Series Lacrosse final.
Joe Resetarits and Shawn Evans each scored hat tricks to lead the way in a 11-8 victory over Brooklin Lacrosse Club.
The Lakers win the best-of-seven MSL semifinal 3-1.
BLC came out flat and the Lakers took advantage in the first period with Resetarits scoring a pair of goals, while singles went to Thomas Hoggarth, Cory Vitarelli and Evans.
It was Evans’ turn to score a pair in the second period, while Resetarits, Kiel Matisz, and Hoggarth added singles.
Dyson Williams, Ryan Barnable, Brady Kearnan and Jake Boudreau responded for BLC.
BLC attempted to mount the comeback in the third period thanks to Luke Pilcher, Ryan Lanchbury and Jake Boudreau. But Vitarelli scored midway through the frame to put the game out of reach.

NOTES: Matt Vinc returned to the Lakers net and made 51 stops to get the win. Prior to the game, the Ontario Lacrosse Association had a meeting and upheld its decision from the Game 2 protest and BLC appeal. In Game 2 BLC assistant coach Gavin Prout was assessed a misconduct and subsequent suspension. The next night he was on the bench for the BLC Game 2 victory. The Lakers successfully protested the game to the OLA. BLC then attempted to appeal the decision.
