Tyler Hendryks got the Kodiaks going early in the game scoring a pair of goals, before Tanner Buck added one to increase the lead to three. But then it was the Lakers turn to hold the momentum, thanks to a pair of Josh Currier goals, and one from Holden Cattoni.
In the second period, Turner Evans got the s going for the Lakers, before Curtis Romancych and Hendryks struck for the Kodiaks. Thomas Hoggarth and Buck then exchanged goals to close out the frame.
Hoggarth and Austin Hasen were the catalysts in the third period, scoring a pair of goals each. Cattoni added one goal to the mix. With time dwindling, David Anderson scored two goal to get the Kodiaks within striking distance. But it was too little too late.
