MSL announces 2021 Entry Draft and Protected Lists

Major Series Lacrosse is very excited to announce when its 2021 Entry Draft will take place, and each team’s junior protected lists.

The 2021 MSL Entry Draft will take place Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 7pm. The draft will take place via Zoom, with each of the six MSL teams - Brooklin Lacrosse Club, Coburg Kodiaks, Oakville Rock, Owen Sound (formerly Brampton), the defending league and Mann Cup champion Peterborough Lakers, and Six Nations Chiefs - participating. 

Fans will be able to follow along on the MSL social networks - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, for up-to-the second draft results.

But before the 2021 MSL Entry Draft takes place, we are pleased to announce each team’s junior protected list. Each team is able to protect up to four players from its junior affiliates.

[1] Cobourg receives the rights to Wenster Green, Six Nations 2nd rd pick in 2020, and 3rd rd pick in 2021. Six Nations receives Kyle Jackson and Patrick Corbett

[2] Brampton sends the rights to Tyson Bell to Six Nations. Brampton receives Marty Hill, Jake Crans, Joe Maracle, 2019 1st rd pick, 2020 3rd rd pick and 2021 2nd rd pick.

[3] Brooklin receives Six Nations 1st Rd pick in 2020,2021 & 2022 Six Nations 3rd Rd pick in 2022, and rights to Dylan Riley. Six Nations receives the rights to Lyle Thompson and Miles Thompson. Should Miles Thompson sign with Six Nations prior to or for 2020 Brooklin would receive a 2nd Rd pick in 2023

[6] Six Nations receives Brampton's 2021 1st Rd & 2nd Rd (originally Six Nations) in exchange for Kyle Jackson

[7] Cobourg receives Six Nations 2021 1st Rd pick (originally Brampton) in exchange for Adam Bomberry

[8] Peterborough receives Oakville's 2021 4th rd pick in exchange for a 2020 5th rd pick.

[9] Cobourg receives Dereck Downs from Oakville in exchange for the Kodiaks 2021 2nd rd pick

* Brampton has relocated to Owen Sound beginning in the 2021 season
