Oakville Rock and Brampton Excelsiors make a Four Player Trade

MSL Commissioner Doug Luey has confirmed a four player trade between the Brampton Excelsiors and Oakville Rock. 

Brampton has received Tanner Thomson and Dallas Bridle for Derreck Downs and Luke van Schepen..  The 23 year old 5'10" Thomson has 2 goals and 6 assists in 5 games in the 2019 season (he totalled 5 goals and 13 assists in 13 games in the 2018 season).  At 6'2" and 190 pounds, the 23 year old Dallas Bridle has played only one game in th3 2019 season.  He had 12 goals and 17 assists in 15 games last season for Oakville.

 In return, the Rock acquire 6’2” 215 pound, Derreck Downs who won a Minto Cup in 2016 playing for Coquitlam.  During the 2018 season, Downs tallied 20 goals and 12 assists in 16 games. So far in the 2019 season, he has scored 3 goals and added a single assist in 5 games. Luke van Schepan weighs 210 pounds, stands 5'11".  The 23 year old had 4 goals and 4 assists in the 2018 season.
