Oakville Rock win 7-6 on the Road

Building a 5-2 lead by the end of the first period, the Oakville Rock held on for a cliff-hanger win on the road in Game 3 of their MSL semi-final series with the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs.

Oakville added to their lead in the second period and had a 6-2 lead.  However, the Chiefs narrowed the score to 6-5 by the end of the second period.  In a closely played third period, Bill Hostrawser scored the game winning goal at 13:47 of the third period.

The Rock were led offensively by Rob Hellyer who netted a hat-trick.  Dan Lintner fired a pair of goals.  Single goals came off the sticks of Andrew Kew and Bill Hostrawser.  Goaltender Nick Rose made several clutch saves to preserve the win for Oakville.

For Six Nations - Brendan Bomberry had himself a three-goal game.  Other scorers for the Chiefs were Chris Cloutier, Tyson Bell and Cody Jamieson who tied the game 6-6 just twenty seconds into the third period.

Six Nations leads the best of seven semi-final series 2-1.  Game 4 will be played on Sunday in Oakville.
