About Major Series Lacrosse:

Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is a premier senior men's box lacrosse league in Ontario, Canada, dedicated to promoting and advancing the sport of lacrosse.

Position Overview:

MSL is seeking a dynamic Director of Media to lead our media and communications efforts. This part-time role involves developing and executing media strategies to enhance the league's visibility and engagement across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Media Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive media plans to promote MSL events, teams, and players.
• Content Creation and Management: Oversee the production and distribution of engaging content, including press releases, social media updates, and website articles.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets to secure coverage and manage media inquiries.
• Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies to increase online presence and fan engagement.
• Event Coverage: Coordinate media coverage for MSL events, including game days, press conferences, and special events.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications align with MSL's brand identity and messaging.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably within the sports industry.
• Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and graphic design tools.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with lacrosse and the sports media landscape in Canada is an asset.
