Owen Sound use first quarter run to hold off Chiefs

While Rylan Hartley shut the door, the Owen Sound offence did its thing to score a 10-6 victory over the Six Nations Chiefs Wednesday night at the MSL Classic.
In front of another great crowd at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, Owen Sound struck four times in nine mites during the first quarter to grab a lead they would never let go of.
While John St. John again led Owen Sound with two goals and four assists, rookie Carter Zavitz netted two goals of his own, along with a pair of assists. Keegan White also scored a pair, while singles went to Mike Fiegehen, Jordan Caskenette, Rob Hudson, and Adam Wiedmann.
Despite not being able to climb all the way back, the Chiefs were able to tie things up in the second quarter at 4-4, but that’s as close as they could get.
Kedoh Hill continued his brilliant MSL Classic with a hat trick, while Owen S Hill, Sam LeClair and Tyler Brown pitched in with goals.
Owen Sound improves to 3-3 and will finish off the MSL Classic Tuesday against the Coburg Kodiaks and Wednesday against Brooklin Lacrosse Club. The Chiefs drop to 3-4 and have one game remaining in its schedule. They play the Kodiaks Wednesday.
