REDMEN FORCE GAME SEVEN WITH 9-6 WIN

After falling behind 3-0 in the best of seven MSL semi-final playoff series, the Brooklin Redmen have rallied with three straight wins to tie the series and force a seventh and deciding game.

The Redmen were never behind in the game with the first period ending 2-2.  Led by a four goal effort from Dan Lintner (including one on the power play and one shorthanded), Brooklin led 5-4 at the end of the second period.  The Redmen outscored the Lakers 4-2 in the third period for an impressive 9-6 victory.

Along with Lintner's four goals, Ryan Keenan added a pair.  Single goal scorers were Reilly O'Connor, Nick Chaykowsky and Adrian Sorichetti.  Holden Cattoni had a pair for the Lakers.  Other goal scorers for Peterborough included Cory Vitarelli, Josh Currier, Adam Jones and Mark Steenhuis.

Goaltender Mike Poulin was outstanding in nets for Brooklin stopping 47 of 53 shots.  Evan Kirk made 40 saves on 49 shots for the Lakers.

Game 7 goes tomorrow in Peterborough.  Should be a treat for MSL fans.
