Shanks hat trick leads BLC to win over Excelsiors

Austin Shanks scored his third goal of the game midway through the third period to give the Brooklin Lacrosse Club a 10-8 win over the Brampton Excelsiors Saturday.

Holden Patterson and Josh Medeiros bookended the first period scoring for the Excelsiors. Liam Osborne, Jack Travassos and Connor Kearnan scored for BLC to give them the lead.

The Excelsiors gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about going on a second-period run thanks to a pair from JP Ward, and singles from Pent Eistrat, James Whiteford,.Shanks and Graydon Hogg responded for BLC before Seth VanShepen had an answer.

BLC went on a run of their own to start the third period, thanks to a pair of goals from Shanks, while Connor Kearnan, Brady Kearnan and Adam Perroni added singles. VanShepen scored for the Excelsiors.
