Simmons scores first career MSL hat trick to lead Kodiaks

Fresh off of his Most Valuable Player performance in the OJLL final, Alex Simmons scored his first Major Series Lacrosse goal, and added two more along with five assists to lead the Coburg Kodiaks to a 16-9 victory over Owen Sound.

While Simmons and Tye Kurtz led the offence with three goals each, Kealan Pilon and Scott DelZotto liked scoring their first-ever MSL goals so much they added another each. Darryl Robertson also scored two goals. Brandon Robinson, Cam Milligan, Dylan Hutchison, and Skyler Thomas netted one goal each.

Jake McNabb was the leader for Owen Sound, scoring four goals and one assist.

John St. John, Kyle Dawson, Josh Medeiros, and Mike Fiegehen all scored one goal.

The Kodiaks improve to 2-3 at the MSL Classic and take on Oakville Rock on August 19. Owen Sound drops to 1-3. Their next action is also against the Rock, but on Tuesday. All games are at 8pm at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre. Tickets are still available and can be reserved by CLICKING HERE.
