Six Nations comeback earns Chiefs 12-10 win and 2-0 series lead

The Oakville Rock hoped to enjoy the comfort of being home with the objective of defeating the Six Nations Chiefs.  However, Six Nations was relentless overcoming Oakville leads to win 12-10.

The teams exchanged the game’s first four goals before the Rock scored two goals in the last 1:30 of the period to take a 4-2 at the end of the first.  By the 12:22 of the second period, Oakville had opened up a 6-3 lead.   However, the Chiefs rallied and won the second period 6-3 to take an 8-7 lead.

Six Nations added to the lead by winning the third period 4-3 for a game final 12-10 Chiefs and a 2-0 lead in the series.

Shayne Jackson had a 3-goal game for Six Nations; Dhane Smith, Cody Jamieson and Tehoka Nanticoke each netted a pair of goals.  Scoring single markers were Tyson Bomberry, Jordan Durston and Chris Cloutier.  Lyle Thompson and Zed William each had a 5 assists night.  Goaltender Doug Jamieson backstopped the win.

For Oakville - Rob Hellyer, Dan Lintner, Challen Rogers and Dan Craig each scored twice.  Single goals came from Cory Highfield and Andrew Kew.
