Sulver’s trick gives Chiefs a 2-0 series advantage

It was Dalton Sulver’s time to shine for the Six Nations Chiefs in their best-of-seven Major Series Lacrosse semifinal against the Cobourg Kodiaks.
On the road, Sulver scored three times, including the game-winner with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation to give the Chiefs a 8-7 win over the Kodiaks at the Baltimore Recreation Centre Friday.
The Chiefs started out with a four-goal run thanks to Brendan Bomberry Charlie Scanlan, Sulver and Cody Jamieson.
Justin Lee had the only Kodiaks response.
Sulver and Austin Staats got the Chiefs going in the second period, before the Kodiaks went on a run of their own.
Justin Lee and Ben French cut the lead in half in the back end of the second period, while Alex Simmons, Rowan Kelly and Kealan Pilon tied things up for the Kodiaks.
Eric Fannell and Sulver put the game out of reach, before Aaron Woods added another Kodiaks marker to make it interesting.

NOTES: While Sulver netted the hat trick, Cody Jamieson led the way with three assists to go along with his goal. Warren Hill got the win between the pipes. Steve Orleman took the loss. The Chiefs can grab a stranglehold on the MSL semifinal Sunday at the ILA in Game 3. That game begins at 7pm.  It will be broadcasted on Rogers Cable 20 and streamed at www.rogerstv.com/chiefs.
