Waters and Kearnan net hat tricks to lead BLC over Kodiaks

Brady Kearnan and Kyle Waters led the way as the Brooklin Lacrosse Club defeated the Cobourg Kodiaks 12-7 during Major Series Lacrosse action Wednesday night.

Curtis Conley opened the scoring for the Kodiaks converting a Daire Newbrough pass at 2:02, followed by Scott Dominey in transition off a Tanner Buck feed at 2:26.

Corson Kealey got BLC on the board converting a Luke Pilcher pass at 10:38, followed by Ryan McCrory converting a Juston Bragg feed to tie the game at 12:05. Jack Boyden gave BLC the lead off a  Waters pass at 15:07, followed by Brady Kearnan converting a Zac Carrigan feed at 15:59.

Waters scored his second of the night off a Luke Pilcher pass at 0:35 seconds on the power-play, followed by Brady Kearnan with his second of the game off a Zac Carrigan feed at 1:28. 

Hunter Aggus finally stopped the Brooklin run scoring off a Tanner Buck pass at 3:03, but Trent Boyd answered for Brooklin with a laser off a Luke Pilcher pass at 3:49.

Scott Dominey scored in transition for the Kodiaks, but again was answered by Kyle Waters converting a Brady Kearnan pass at 11:20.  Waters added another off a Luke Pilcher pass at 13:21, followed by Brady Kearnan converting a Jack Boyden pass at 16:28. BLC added one more before the period was finished with Jack Boyden converting a Jacob Saunders feed at 18:07.

Bo Columbus scored for Cobourg off an Aaron Woods feed at 2:45, followed by Tyler Hendryks finishing a Mike Duncan pass at 8:02.  Tanner Buck added another off an Aaron Woods feed at 10:07 to marrow the score to 11-7.

Josh Toguri scored one more for Brooklin unassisted at 19:16.
