Zach Higgins' heroics lead BLC to victory over Lakers

Zach Higgins was huge in goal, making 56 saves to preserve a 9-7 Brooklin Lacrosse Club win over the Peterborough Lakers Thursday.  

BLC set the tone early, with Tanner Cook scoring the first, before Luke Keenan followed up two minutes later to extend the lead. Liam Osborne asserted BLC's dominance with another goal. 

The Lakers, determined to stay in the game, responded with a power-play goal by Holden Cattoni, Graydon Hogg had a reply for the visitors to end the first-period scoring.

The Lakers fought back fiercely in the second period. Joe Resetarits scored early to cut the lead. But Dylan Robinson countered for BLC. Holden Cattoni again tried to narrow the gap, but Connor Kearnan added another BLC goal. The teams continued to exchange goals with Thomas Hoggarth's  power-play goal before Connor Kearnan responded with a short-handed marker.

The final period was again back-and-forth. Turner Evans kicked off the scoring before Tanner Cook netted the eventual game-winning goal. Cam Milligan, Cook, and Holden Cattoni exchanged goals.
