Chiefs One Win Away From A Four-Peat

The Coquitlam Adanacs faced the Six Nations Chiefs in game three of the 2026 Mann Cup at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Hagersville, Ontario Monday evening.

The goaltending match-up had Christian Del Bianco in net for the Adanacs facing Doug Jamieson in net for the Chiefs. 

The Six Nations Chiefs moved to within one victory of a fourth consecutive Mann Cup championship with a 13-9 win over the Coquitlam Adanacs in Game Three Monday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. Six Nations jumped out to a 5-2 first-period lead, highlighted by two goals from Andrew Kew, before extending the advantage to 8-3 early in the second. Coquitlam refused to go quietly, scoring four consecutive goals to make it 8-7 early in the third period.

With the Adanacs threatening, the Chiefs responded. Ian MacKay and Ryan Smith restored some breathing room before Lyle Thompson and Cody Jamieson helped Six Nations pull away. Tyson Bell's empty-netter sealed the 13-9 victory and a commanding 3-0 series lead. Kew was named Six Nations' Player of the Game, while Thomas Semple earned the honour for Coquitlam. 

To The Game:

The Chiefs opened the scoring at 2:41 when Shayne Jackson quick-sticked a Dhane Smith feed from the side of the net. Andrew Kew doubled the lead at 4:58, taking another Dhane Smith pass and picking the corner from in front.

The Adanacs answered at 6:22 when Thomas Semple fired a high-to-low blast off a Dylan McIntosh feed to cut the deficit in half. McIntosh then tied the game at 11:42, taking a Brian Simmons pass and launching himself across the crease to bury the finish.

Six Nations responded in a big way.
Kew restored the Chiefs' lead at 13:20, taking a Randy Staats pass and firing a laser into the corner. Just 27 seconds later, Josh Byrne unleashed an absolute howitzer from the outside to make it 4-2.

The Chiefs kept coming. At 14:29, Lyle Thompson finished from in front off another Staats feed, giving Six Nations three goals in just 1:09 and suddenly stretching the lead to three.

Following the Chiefs' offensive burst, Coquitlam made a change in goal, replacing Christian Del Bianco with Andrew Gallant.

After one period, Six Nations 5, Coquitlam 2.

Second Period:

Cody Jamieson opened the second period scoring just 50 seconds in, taking a slick behind-the-back pass from Andrew Kew and ripping a high-to-high blast into the net.

The Adanacs answered quickly. Riley Isaacs took a Kean Moon pass and buried a sidearm snipe at 1:38 to get Coquitlam back on the board.

Dhane Smith restored the Chiefs' four goal lead at 3:20, taking a Ryan Smith pass, throwing a couple of fakes and finishing the opportunity. Josh Byrne followed at 5:15, taking another Ryan Smith feed and firing a laser into the top corner to make it 8-3.

But Coquitlam kept fighting.

Thomas Semple struck in transition at 6:33, taking a Carter Cook pass and finishing from in close. The Adanacs then added a highlight-reel goal at 15:45 when Dylan McIntosh took an Adam Noakes feed, launched himself across the crease and buried the finish.

After two periods, Six Nations 8, Coquitlam 5.

Third Period:

Kean Moon brought the Adanacs within two just 40 seconds into the third, firing a high-to-low blast to make it 8-6. Thomas Semple followed at 2:52, taking a Kean Moon feed and burying a shorthanded goal to suddenly pull Coquitlam within one.

The Chiefs responded.

Ian MacKay gave Six Nations some breathing room at 3:54, quick-sticking a Dhane Smith pass into the net. Ryan Smith followed at 5:38, converting a slick one-handed flip pass from Andrew Kew to restore the Chiefs' three-goal advantage.

But Coquitlam kept coming. Riley Isaacs bounced a shot home from the top of the crease off another Kean Moon pass at 8:25, cutting the lead to two.

Just 28 seconds later, Lyle Thompson answered with a great individual effort off a Dhane Smith feed. Cody Jamieson then put Six Nations up 12-8 at 12:43, throwing four fakes before finishing from the top of the crease off a Lyle Thompson pass.

Jalen Chaster gave the Adanacs one more highlight at 16:21, scoring a spectacular behind-the-back goal to keep Coquitlam within striking distance, but Tyson Bell put the game away at 18:12, finding the empty net to seal the deal.

Final score, Six Nations 13, Coquitlam 9.

Six Nations now holds a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Mann Cup series, with Game Four slated for Tuesday evening at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
