The Oakville Rock (9-4) traveled east to face the Cobourg Kodiaks (8-5) in Major Series Lacrosse action Sunday evening at the Cobourg Community Centre in Cobourg, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Landon Kells in net for the Rock facing Laine Hruska in net for the Kodiaks.

The Cobourg Kodiaks put together one of their most complete performances of the season Sunday night, using a balanced offensive attack and timely defense to defeat the Oakville Rock 10-6 at the Cobourg Community Centre. Alex Marinier and Brock Haley drove the offense from the opening faceoff, combining for seven goals as the Kodiaks built an early lead and never allowed the Rock to get any closer than two goals. Cobourg also received another solid effort from Laine Hruska, who turned aside 45 shots to backstop the victory.

Oakville controlled the shot clock for much of the evening, finishing with a 51-50 edge in shots, but Cobourg made the most of its opportunities while capitalizing on key momentum swings. Carson Moyer paced the Rock with a hat trick, including a highlight-reel individual effort, while Nate Renaud scored his first Major Series Lacrosse goal. However, every Oakville push was answered by the Kodiaks, who improved to 8-5 with the convincing 10-6 win.
