The Owen Sound NorthStars (1-16) traveled east to face the Peterborough Lakers (11-7) in Major Series Lacrosse action Thursday night at the Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Deacan Knott in net for the Lakers facing Lucas Johnston in net for the NorthStars.

The Peterborough Lakers delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season Thursday night, overwhelming the Owen Sound NorthStars 14-2 at the Memorial Centre. The Lakers seized control almost immediately, exploding for seven first-period goals from six different scorers to build a commanding 7-1 lead after 20 minutes. Ryan Lanchbury led the offensive charge with four goals and three assists, while Brad McCulley recorded a hat trick and Daniel Clark added three of his own, as Peterborough's balanced attack proved too much for the NorthStars.
