The Brooklin Lacrosse Club (5-5) traveled to face the Peterborough Lakers (5-4) in Major Series Lacrosse action Thursday night at the Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Steve Orleman in net for Brooklin facing Drew Hutchison in net for the Lakers.

Despite being outshot 56-44, the Peterborough Lakers made the most of their opportunities and rode an efficient offensive performance to a convincing 12-6 victory over the Brooklin Lacrosse Club (BLC) on Thursday night at the Memorial Centre. After the teams traded early goals, the Lakers seized control with three unanswered goals late in the opening period before adding four more in the second to build an 8-3 lead. Justin Sykes led the attack with a hat trick, while Taite Cattoni, Thomas Hoggarth, Brad McCulley, Ryan Lanchbury, and Rob Hellyer all played key roles in a balanced Peterborough offense.

Brooklin continued to battle despite the deficit, generating plenty of pressure and owning a significant advantage in shots on goal, including a dominant 22-10 edge in the third period. Dyson Williams scored twice, while Dan Lintner also added a pair of goals, but Drew Hutchison and the Lakers' defense repeatedly came up with timely saves and capitalized on transition opportunities. Peterborough's ability to finish its chances and strike quickly in transition proved to be the difference.
