The Six Nations Chiefs (6-0) visited the Brampton Excelsiors (1-4) in Major Series Lacrosse action Thursday night at the Memorial Arena in Brampton, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Doug Jamieson in net for the Chiefs facing Connor O'Toole in net for the Excelsiors.

The Six Nations Chiefs used a dominant second-period surge to pull away from the Brampton Excelsiors and earn a convincing 12-4 victory. After carrying a narrow 2-1 lead out of the opening frame on goals from Shayne Jackson and Ryan Smith, the Chiefs responded emphatically when Brampton battled back to tie the game early in the second. Dhane Smith restored the lead before Brendan Bomberry, Josh Byrne, Ryan Smith, and Chris Cloutier all found the back of the net during a relentless offensive outburst that saw Six Nations score six times in the period to take an 8-3 advantage into the intermission.

The Chiefs never let up in the third period, adding four more goals to put the game out of reach. Shayne Jackson started the final-frame scoring before Lyle Thompson capitalized on the power play. Cloutier and Bomberry each added their second goals of the night as Six Nations showcased its offensive depth and ball movement throughout the contest. Dhane Smith led the attack with a dominant performance, factoring into numerous goals as both a scorer and playmaker, while the Chiefs' defense and goaltending limited Brampton's opportunities after the opening half of the game. Mike Triolo scored the lone third-period marker for the Excelsiors, but the Chiefs cruised to the eight-goal victory.
